TOPEKA- House Majority Leader Chris Croft (R-Overland Park) today announced Dan Stanley will serve as his Chief of Staff.
Stanley joins the Majority Leader’s office following a lifetime of public service at the highest levels of federal, state and local government. Stanley most recently served as part of the Trump 2017 transition team.
A veteran of the US Navy where he served as a submarine commander, Stanley later served at the highest levels of the Pentagon eventually being promoted to Assistant Secretary of Defense, Legislative Affairs.
Dan’s Kansas ties run deep, having previously served as Kansas Secretary of Administration and as Chief of Staff and Defense Policy Advisor to Senator Bob Dole. At the local level Stanley held the position of interim Topeka city manager and served on the Topeka city council.
“I am proud to have Dan Stanley join our team as Chief of Staff,” Majority Leader Croft said. “Dan has dedicated his life to serving our country and by answering another call to serve, I’m confident his experience will help the Kansas legislature accomplish our goals for next session including providing property tax relief and increased government efficiency.”
