If you are not a Democrat, you are part of the ‘coup’

If the leadership of the Democratic Congressional delegation is any indication of our nation’s education system, we are in deep, deep trouble.

During the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump said if elected he would secure the border. He said he would appoint Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to a newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, what has become know as DOGE.

He said he would use tariffs to get Canada and Mexico to handle border policy in a more favorable way.

He said he would begin the largest deportation effort in history.

Over and over Trump made his case to the American people, and the American people chose to give Trump the keys to the executive branch of the government.

It’s not unusual in the United States that parties change hands in the Oval Office. It happens over and over and will happen again and again.

Most of the time when one party loses, they seek to work with the new administration in ways that bring the nation together.

For example, 13 Republicans voted for 15 or more of Joe Biden’s 21 appointees to his cabinet.

While they disagreed with the political positions of these people, they recognized that the president should be able to appoint the people he wanted unless there was an extreme reason not to support the nominee.

So far, Democrats will not be able to make the same bipartisan statement about Trump nominees. It is highly unlikely that any Democrat will support five of Trump’s 21 nominees much less 15 of them.

Instead of reading the last election and current polling that has support for the Democratic Party in the mid 30 percent range, and finding a way to moderate to the policies supported by the American people, Democrats have chosen to create their identity as the opposition party to the Trump agenda.

I remember when Barack Obama was elected and Republican leaders said they would resist his every move. The legacy media went crazy, calling those handful of Republicans an-American and not supporting the will of the people.

But when the Democrats took to the podium Tuesday to take the same position, they weren’t met with the same disdain. They were championed by the same people in the media they deceived for four years under Biden.

The biggest whopper being propagated by the democratic leadership is the idea that Elon Musk, the volunteer heading up DOGE for zero dollars, is unelected and singlehandedly taking over the American government. Since he is rich, this is a billionaire’s coup, the Democrats would have us believe.

And what is his crime against the nation?

Finding waste and abuse in government.

Musk has zero power or authority to do anything except review the government expenditures and report those finding to the president and to the American people.

Trump has also offered buyouts for federal employees in an effort to reduce the size of government and also glean out those who have been politicizing positions that were intended to be nonpartisan.

And that’s what the Democrat leadership cannot stand. They have owned the inner workings of government for decades.

Trump received 6.4 percent of the vote in Washington, D.C., while Kamala Harris received 90.2 percent. Democrats own Washington. They own the inner workings of government, whether that is referred to as the Deep State or not.

For them to lose control of the agencies is unacceptable, and therefore anyone trying to reduce the size of government is reducing the influence of the Democratic Party.

While they claim that Musk is unelected and is cutting jobs, nothing could be further from the truth. Musk is powerless. It is Trump and his ability to issue executive orders that is the real power, and they know that. But they can’t sell that. So they have to create an artifical boogie man now that Trump has become cool again.

What they fail to mention is Joe Biden attempted to cut student loan payments which the courts rejected as well as several other executive actions.

Their claim of a coup fails to mention how Peter Strzok and other government “employess” stated they would stop Trump from becoming president.

This is the inner workings of government stating they, not you, will pick the president. And that’s what Democratic leaders call a coup, when we the people have power instead of them.
