K-State vocalists pursue solidarity through music

MANHATTAN – A group of award-winning veteran vocalists from Kansas State University have formed Resonate A Cappella, a non-instrumental performance ensemble using the soulful power of vocal harmony to entertain audiences and evoke solidarity through music.

Utilizing only their voices, Resonate A Capella is student-led and affiliated with K-State as a student organization and performs a wide variety of music, including multiple artists like Frank Sinatra, Adele, Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder and more from a catalog of both classic and contemporary sounds.

Soprano Alto: Anastasia Meyer, Hayden Holmberg, Sydney Elmore, Kate Meives, Carly Hicks, Indigo Belanger, Anna Bajich, Beth Land.

“Simply put, we’re a group of students who met through music,” Anna Bajich, a Resonate alto, tells the Kansas Informer. “But we’ve become so much more than that. We are all so different, and that’s what makes ..[Resonate] so fun. We’re as close as we are because of the music we get to make together.”

The singers come from a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, pop, rock, folk and hybrid modern. Performers gained past performance bona fides both at the university and private commercial music industry levels. Resonate A Cappella will be hosting their Spring Showcase at 7:30 PM on May 3rd in Manhattan Kansas, performing at University Christian Church.

Tenor Bass: Caden Phillips, Matt Crank, Toby Rodriguez, David Mathes, Anthony Belin, Levi Nutter, Alex Harper.

Resonate performances run from 45 minutes to a bit over an hour, and the group is available for corporate events, small or large venue private parties, or music events/festivals – anywhere audiences yearn for the stirring, impassioned expression of the human voice.
