No matter the time passed or the socio-political stupidity that’s arisen since, there should be no ‘getting over’ the cold-blooded murder of 3,000 of our countrymen, despite the voices that have spent 25 years shaming us for carrying a grudge.
This week as we remember that loss and that of the American and other warriors who subsequently took up our fight, we should resolve to pursue our vengeance and to steel ourselves against a radical Islamic terrorist element delightfully degraded but still a threat, and horrifyingly now gaining support among Democrat political elements in our own country.
This time of reflection should inspire us to recommit ourselves to watchfulness, and to our revenge.
In the 25 years since the airliner attacks on New York and The Pentagon and since American passenger patriots seized and crashed a fourth plane in Pennsylvania, our country’s premise of free expression and the growing phenomena of social media allowed the emergence of a cultural weed patch planted with obnoxious insolence toward American Greatness.
The Hate Trump camp and Joe Biden’s years of governmental kakistocracy watered those weeds and fostered blooms of lies and intentional confusion among Americans too young to have witnessed the attack. It gave rise to online “influencers” who say America deserved 9/11, and fellow travelers like a U.S. Senate candidate in Michigan who now defends sharia law and talks about hating America. There’s even a communist mayor of New York City who last week sneeringly declared a day of remembrance in the city, then handed the pen used to sign the document to a lawyer who defended an alleged co-conspirator in the attack.
Amid the water muddied by time and sappy virtue signaling, we need to set a few things straight about 9/11 and what followed:
• Israel is a blood ally of the United States, and the primary source and conduit for intelligence that turned the War on Terror in favor of the good guys. Islam has targeted Israel for annihilation since 1948. Anyone who tells you otherwise or tries to obfuscate the value of that partnership is an ignoramus.
• Where America vanquished Islamofascist rule in pursuit of our enemies, life improved. Girls were allowed to attend schools and university in Afghanistan and women could engage careers; public health improved and maternal mortality decreased. Joe Biden’s four-year clown show and his disastrous abandonment of that country put an end to all that. Iraq is still better off — Iraqis can now vote against their government without being taken out and shot — 56.1 percent voted in 2025 parliamentary elections.
• America obliterated Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was captured. Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri were hunted down and killed. Scores of terrorist plots were interrupted. Donald Trump vowed terrorist provocateur Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
• Terrorist financing became infinitely more difficult. American airports, borders and intelligence agencies were hardened against another attack. An American-led coalition destroyed ISIS and freed nearly eight million people from its despotic rule.
• America built an international system for tracking terrorist money. Over time, intelligence services, police departments, financial regulators and militaries across dozens of countries became interconnected in ways that did not exist before September 2001. That cooperation has made international terrorist travel, financing and organization substantially more difficult.
The most defining success of the past 25 years has been easy to note: there’s been no similar attack on American soil since.
On Friday we honor those lost, and the moral rightness of America’s actions that followed. Through our continued vigilance, we keep the vow to never forget.
