Adam Hamilton, thou shalt not lie

Quirky, kooky, Johnson County megachurch pastor and U.S. Senate candidate Adam Hamilton says a lot of things that make you think at some point in his life he might have been knocked unconscious. And since the pious millionaire servant of the Almighty owns four homes – I’m betting there’s gotta be Ring Camera footage of it somewhere.

But lying about Senator Roger Marshall having a patient arrested for a $50 bill? I’m surprised Hamilton’s bogus ad doesn’t feature someone kicking Tiny Tim’s crutch into the Cratchit’s family fireplace too.

I mean, it’s not like Democrats are choosing anybody to run anywhere this November election go-round who doesn’t show outward signs of a previous concussion – like the kind a defensive cornerback might lay on a wide receiver, or an America’s Funniest Home Videos confirmation that Parkour’s still subject to gravity.

But out-and-out lying about Dr. Roger Marshall’s delinquent billing collection practices as the two men vye for the U.S. Senate seat from Kansas seems, well, un-pastorly.

Sure, a lot of things get said in political campaigns, and it never fails that the nastiest thorns are thrown by the most desperate candidates, preferably late in the campaign so the damage can be done before the target has a chance to respond. Marshall’s campaign issued a cease and desist letter to Hamilton this week, which doesn’t have any real teeth. Marshall should just go ahead and file a lawsuit for defamation.

Then again you have to keep in mind the kind of snake handling, speaking in tongues kind of fervor the weirdo-Left is in right now as their Trump-hate digests them, and how Hamilton is right at home with them in the gut of that hatefulness. Why? For the same reason they hate U.S. border security and reduction of fentanyl deaths and revelations of government fraud and cutting needless government jobs and lower prescription prices – because it turns out Marshall helped Trump make all that happen. But telling an outright lie that you know is false?

In the immortal words of Gomer Pyle: Shame, shame, shame.

Now, people who’ve never suffered a concussion might figure those things are pretty good for the country, and it takes only a perfunctory review of other Hamiltom gems to get the clue that his biscuit’s not quite baked.

Like more than half the Methodists in the country, Hamilton gave his Leawood church’s congregation a spiritual swirly a few years back when he joined the Lefty majority in approving the ‘God’s Okay with Gay’ policy to cozy up with gay marriage and gay clergy, and Hollywood and the teachers unions and the drag queen story hour daycares that can just never gay things up quite enough.

‘Cause, like, the Bible’s chock full of stories about gay weddings…right? Methodists who’d actually read the Bible left Hamilton’s church and others in the country in droves.

Then there was the admonishment to his flock that they should reduce their ‘carbon footprints’ because the pastor apparently had a burning bush momement. No more of those rubber-soled Sketchers and HeyDudes, he told them – it’s back to hemp sandals, baby, just like in Lawrence.

Then came cattle farts. Methane alert! Those brome-munching bovines might blow up the world. Freshly primed with his rainbow empathy and his fear of an environmental catastrophe, Hamilton shamed his flock for eating beef.

“Some of the things that we grow, because we like to eat them, like cattle, end up producing more carbon dioxide than other crops that we could grow, other forms of food that we could have…“

Dang it. If I’d known Democrats would be canceling the cattle industry and making me grow my own food, I wouldn’t be trying to kill all that moss on my pond.

If you can’t tell, Hamilton’s a directionless goofball – the perfect Democrat candidate for Election 2026. He’s indicative of the disconnect with reality that so many pro-Palestine, pro-boys in girls sports, anti-border security Democrats embrace as proudly these days as pink hair. In other words, people with concussions.

FYI – Marshall didn’t sue someone over a $50 doctor bill – like any doctor bill these days would be $50!!??.

That bill was more like $3,600, and the patient agreed to a payment plan then stopped making the payments. I’ve done some bill collecting in my day, and I can tell you nobody gets issued a bench warrant for their arrest over a collection action unless they thumb their nose not just at the person they owe, but at the judge’s order as well. Judges don’t have much of a sense of humor about that.

There’s no doubt Hamilton needs an x-ray for his head; one for the pastor’s conscience wouldn’t hurt either.
